Greeting

Regarding the birth of our company, the late Saburo Nomura founded and inaugurated NAMBU Iron Works Co.,Ltd. in 1955 as the Japan's first hydraulic cylinder manufacturer. And at the same time, Japan Hydraulics Association was established.

For more than 50 years since then, we had been through many changes such as a fire which broke out in the factory in December, 1963 and completely destroyed the factory. So, we were forced to suspend business for a while. In two years time, we started business again as NAMBU Iron Works Co., Ltd. We obtained a number of patents and utility model rights on hydraulic cylinders (including sensors and hybrid products) by our technology and capability of development fostered over the years. And then, we established a solid status as a manufacturer of special hydraulic cylinders.

The NAMBU cylinders are Core Puller Cylinders for molds and Rotary Joints for Steel Mill Industries and Sensor Cylinders (extra small cylinders) in the main. And in order to comply with customers'requests, we also have been engaged in research and development for special hydraulic apparatus.

On top of above, in 1998, we participated in the 8th New Products and New Technology Contest sponsored by Ota City, Tokyo and obtained "Most Excellent Award" for Rotary Core Puller Cylinder. This cylinder succeeded in development on pulling out straight holes in die-casting products (zero draft could not be fabricated in the past) and contributed to cost reduction by saving labor of secondary and thirdly fabrication. Eventually, this cylinder has been well evaluated with high reputation by customers.

In 2005, we took part in "Grand Prize of Recommended Award in the 2nd Parts Manufacturing Contest" and our developed Super Lock Cylinder was granted with "Recommended Prize" (Japan USA patent). We received overwhelming praise from prominent automobile manufacturers. Especially, in automobile engine manufacturing fields by die-casting process, we have been receiving quantity orders since it contributes to lightening weight, high level precision, cost reduction, shortening cycle time etc.

We have conducted our business always thinking from the view points of the customers and have given the highest priority to the benefits of the customers. Such business attitude will never change at all in future as well.Bearing the teachings in mind of the late President "to serve to society with technology" as our motto same as before, we will surely continue to manufacture high quality products completely to satisfy customers and earnestly endeavor to target so-called "R&D Type Enterprise" or "Problem Solution Type Enterprise".
